FGV’s Administration, Economics, and Law undergraduate courses led the Folha University Ranking (RUF 2017) developed by the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper.

The Administration course of FGV’s Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP) ranked first among all private institutions in Brazil. The Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE) ranked first among private institutions in Rio de Janeiro.

In the field of Economics, Sao Paulo School of Economics (EESP) ranked first among private institutions in the country. EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (EPGE) ranked second among private institutions in Rio de Janeiro.

The Law course of Sao Paulo Law School (Direito SP) also stood out, ranking first among private institutions in the country, while Rio de Janeiro Law School (Direito Rio) ranked first in the State, compared to other private institutions.

These results confirm FGV’s constant efforts as an innovative institution, with high academic competence, consolidated as a benchmark in quality and excellence in producing and disseminating knowledge both for its students and society in general.

About the ranking

Created in 2012, RUF is an annual assessment of higher education in Brazil, ranking 195 public and private Brazilian universities based on five indicators – research, internationalization, innovation, education, and market – as well as the 40 most sought after undergraduate courses in Brazil, such as Administration, Law, and Medicine, based on two indicators – education and market.

Courses are ranked based on education quality and job market indicators. Results are obtained through interviews held by Instituto Datafolha with qualified professors, such as MEC assessors and market professionals. The ranking also considers the ratio of Master’s and PhD holders in the faculty, as well as their workload. The performance of students in the National Student Performance Exam (ENADE) is also part of the grade.
