Last Monday, September 18, FGV Energy held the fourth edition of the Meeting of Rio de Janeiro Energy Traders, created to integrate the segment’s companies based in the city of Rio, bringing the segment’s professionals together.

In this edition, the CEO of Empresa de Pesquisa Energética (EPE), Luiz Barroso, presented the study ‘Improvement of the Legal Framework of the Brazilian Electricity Industry.’ The debate focused on the challenges faced by the industry to build its future, while also discussing the results of public inquiry No. 33, by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, in order to collect subsidies for improvement proposals.

Representatives of Brasil Comercializadora, CELER, Diferencial, ENEL, Energisa, Eneva, Equatorial, Furnas, Hydro, Light, Neoenergia, Petrobras, Positiva, Solenergias, Statkraft, and Voltalia attended the event.

“The discussion was very fruitful. Barroso is one of the most qualified industry leaders. Through a very open and engaging approach, he presented the current changes happening in the industry, in addition to sharing insights regarding future trends”, said Antônio Pinhel, Director at Solenergias.
