FGV holds Project Management seminar in Paraguay

The ‘Seminario Gestión de Proyectos’ was held on October 12, in Asunción, by FGV’s Latin American Center for Public Policy (CLPP), in partnership with Centro de Análisis y Difusión de la Economía Paraguaya (CADEP). The event brought together Paraguayan and Brazilian businesspersons and professionals, in addition to authorities from both countries.

Professor André Barcaui, coordinator of FGV’s MBA in Project Management, led the seminar and addressed the most current project management concepts and practices used by the largest companies in the world. In addition, he discussed the importance of the subject, its history, and the main areas involved, giving examples of recent projects carried out in Brazil, such as: Olympics, Rock in Rio, and the World Cup.

As the leading think tank in Paraguay, CADEP operates in several fields, including macroeconomics, international economics, employment and poverty, business development, and regional development. Paraguay has stood out in Latin America due to the development of its economy, which has been growing approximately 3.5 to 4% per year, its environment conducive to attracting foreign investments – especially the Maquila Law –, and its strong investments in infrastructure work. The next seminars are planned to take place in November.
