Webinar presents International Master’s program for executives

The International Masters in Management (IMM), the International Executive Masters resulting from the collaborative effort of five Business Schools in the world, is an advanced program designed for professionals with vast experience in the job market and seeking a Master’s degree in administration, while maintaining their responsibilities at work. On January 18, at 4 p.m. (Brasília time), there will be a webinar with the course’s Executive Director, professor Aldas Kriaciunas and alum Frank Griffin, who will answer questions and talk a little about their experience with the course, which includes classes and visits in five different countries on four continents.
The global approach of the IMM allows students to understand and experience how to do business in each of the places visited. This is integrated to teaching in the classroom and cultural experiences. Therefore, the participating managers have different perspectives to deal with an increasingly global business environment. Linking closely the content and modules of the programs, the faculty ensures that learning through the modules is integrated both by content and location.
The program focuses on analytical techniques that are easily applicable to the student’s work environment. Case studies and situations that arise at work are crucial components to the program. Teamwork and the lessons of the course continue beyond the residencies, with online interactions between instructors and students.
The IMM is a collaborative initiative of FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE – Brazil), Krannert Graduate School of Management of Purdue University (United States), TIAS School for Business and Society (Netherlands), Politecnico di Milano (Italy), and Tianjin University (China). The program has a duration of 20 months, beginning in March, in the US. The following classroom sessions are distributed in five two-week residencies, allowing professionals from different countries and nationalities to reconcile study and work.
