Experts discuss corporate governance and business integrity

As the subject of ‘compliance’ has become extremely relevant, both among institutions and the general media, the troubled scenario of corruption scandals has definitely helped heat up debate surrounding this matter. To address the subject, alumni of FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE) and the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC) will host the panel titled ‘Corporate Governance and Business integrity’, on February 22, at 7 p.m., based on the book of the same name recently published by the Institute.
The event will be held in auditorium 6 of EBAPE’s main office (Rua Jornalista Orlando Dantas, 30. Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro), addressing the dilemmas and challenges of business integrity, as well as current and relevant topics in corporate daily operations, covering four fronts: what is business integrity; assessment of the current environment of corporate governance; points of improvement in the institutional and corporate environment; and overview by administrators, experts, and investors.
The topics will be addressed by guests such as Carlos Eduardo Lessa Brandão (Partner at JFLB Consultoria e Treinamento), Joaquim Rubens Fontes Filho (Professor at EBAPE and Advisor at FGV Previ), João Laudo de Camargo (General Coordinator of the IBGC Rio de Janeiro Chapter), Isabella Saboya (IBGC Board Member), and Renato Chaves (Tax Advisor for publicly-traded companies).
The event is open to the public, with limited spaces.
