Summer course in Austria addresses International and Comparative Law

For the fourth consecutive year, FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School (Direito Rio) is selecting undergraduate students to attend the Summer School on European Private Law, offered by the University of Salzburg, in Austria, from July 2 to 14. Throughout the two-week immersion course, students will learn about approximately 30 different legal systems, focusing on the fields of Comparative Law and Private International Law, in addition to cultural and tourist tours. Applicants must register by February 27.

The selection process will be carried out by a Selection Committee, formed by Direito Rio’s professor and Summer School faculty member Paula Wojcikiewicz Almeida, as well as course alumni and the academic assistants of Direito Rio’s Center for Justice and Society (CJUS) and the Jean Monnet Chair. Requirements for selection include proficiency in English language, good academic performance, and interest in the fields covered by the course.

One of the selected students will receive a scholarship with full exemption from the course’s registration fee, granted by the University of Salzburg.
