International Business Law module offers educational and cultural experiences in the U.S.

The International Business Law course, targeting Law professionals and executives who attend or have attended undergraduate or graduate/MBA courses at FGV, is an opportunity for those who want to add international knowledge to their resume. The program will be held at the University of California – Irvine campus (UCI Law) – from July 21 to August 5, offered through a partnership between FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School (Direito Rio), FGV's Institute for Educational Development (IDE), and FGV's affiliate partner Strong with UCI Law.
The program provides an educational and cultural experience in the U.S., introducing legal thinking strategies to broaden concepts and knowledge obtained in FGV’s graduate courses.
Coordinated by the Dean of Direito Rio, professor Sérgio Guerra, the course addresses topics such as Comparative Law; Legal System in the U.S.; rules and ethics; Judicial Control and the U.S. Supreme Court; oral statement before the courts; International Law, Intellectual Property Law, Regulatory Law, Corporate Law, Competition Law, and Environmental Law; and mediation and arbitration.
Classes will be taught by the faculty of the University of California, which includes professionals from top Law schools in the U.S. In addition to the course’s multidisciplinary content, the program also includes visits to courthouses and law firms.
