Professor Marco Tulio Zanini, from FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE), and General Sérgio José Pereira, chief of Institutional Relations of Comando Militar do Leste, in charge of press communication during the Federal Intervention in the State of Rio de Janeiro, were invited to give the lecture titled “Strategic leadership”, under the Brazilian Army Senior Management and Strategy Policy Course (CPEAEX) of the Brazilian Army Command and General-Staff School (Eceme).

The lecturers discussed the exercise of leadership within the context of Federal Intervention in public safety and the Strategic Plan in place.

“Context analysis and institutional communication, based on strategic thinking and interpersonal skills, are essential characteristics of leaders, especially during crisis situations. The ability to maintain efficient dialog with institutions across the Federal, State and Municipal spheres, as well as civil society organizations, ensures the legitimacy and legality of the initiative”, said professor Marco Tulio Zanini.

The event was held on March 23 and was also attended by Eceme commander, General Edson Diehl Ripoli.
