Book addresses evolution of HR in organizations

Over the last three decades, human resources management has evolved from personnel department and labor relations to a much more strategic and comprehensive role: taking care of people so that they can take care of organizations. This is the main subject addressed in the book “Recursos Humanos: transformando pela gestão” [Human Resources: transforming through management], by Ana Paula Arbache and Denise Athayde Dutra, which FGV Press launches today, May 22, at 6:30 p.m., at the FGV Bookstore (Praia de Botafogo, 190. Ground floor – Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro/RJ).
In the book, the authors show how HR has taken a strategic and comprehensive role for both small and large companies, guiding people toward top performance and professional development.
The book aims to contribute to the training of human resources executives as strategic experts that add value to organizational results, proposing transformational human resources management policies, practices and tools that dignify the relationship between capital and labor.
