FGV debates the importance of sustainability in investments

The Center for Studies in Finance (CEF) of FGV´s São Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP), will host a meeting entitled ?Sustainability in investments - building a better world?, with participation of Tatiana Grecco, funds superintendent at Itaú Asset Management, and Meagan Costa Corner Neto, CEO of HSBC Asset Management. Thursday, March 10, starting at 7:00 p.m.Aimed at students and professionals, the event will discuss the importance of choosing investments based on sustainable principles. According to Professor William Eid Junior, Coordinator of the CEF, the meeting has a very important role in promoting the idea of investments based on sustainable criteria to the investor. There is a strong concern by the investor to ensure the future of your family and have an immediate return, but the public does not have a culture to take into account concerns relating to sustainable causes when choosing an investment, explains the professor.William Eid discusses the reasoning claiming it is not a demand problem, but offer. For the professor, financial institutions have expanded the sustainable investment options in recent years, offering products with excellent profitability that guarantee a better future for all.The event, which is open to the public, will be held at the Salão Nobre of the São Paulo School of Business Administration (Rua Itapeva, 432, Bela Vista, São Paulo).
