Global Conference discusses ways to reinvent education in the digital age

The president of Fundação Getulio Vargas, Professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, participated in the Global Conference “EnlightED – Reinventing Education in a Digital World”, hosted in Madrid (Spain), from October 3 to 5. The event, held by Fundación Telefónica, IE University and South Summit, brought together experts in education, technology and innovation to discuss education in the digital age.
Carlos Ivan was one of the lecturers on the panel that discussed the inclusion of higher education institutions in the digital age, its challenges and potential, on the second day of the event. The topic was also discussed by Pelayo Cavarrubias (Fundación País Digital and Universidad del Desarrollo) and Juan Romo (Universidad Carlos III), with moderation by José Escamilla (DG Tecnologico de Monterrey).
On the same day, the event discussed the opportunities that technology offers to higher education. The experts addressed subjects like “Higher education in the age of artificial intelligence”; “New opportunities for Higher Education in the hybrid economy”; “Disruptive university”; “Industry 4.0 and manager training in the digital revolution”, among other issues.
The International Conference also discussed the challenge of training professionals for the market in light of the digital transformation and how technology can multiply learning at school.
