FGV’s Sao Paulo Law School (Direito SP) journal, Revista Direito GV (Sao Paulo Law School Review), has opened a call for papers on law and technology until January 31, to be featured in a special edition published later this year. The goal is to gather articles with different multidisciplinary approaches on the impacts of technology in the legal world.

Articles must cover the impact of technology in legal practice; automation of public and/or private legal professions; use of data science and business intelligence in legal activities; use of blockchain in legal practice; mediation, conciliation and arbitration platforms and other out-of-court settlement means; and impacts of new technologies on legal education.

The journal will prioritize articles that stand out from existing literature on this field, featuring empirical research based on current data regarding the advent of technology in the field of law, describing and breaking down cases of technological solutions that have affected how the area’s professionals work, and/or reviewing literature to look at other works on this subject under a fresh perspective.

Guest editors for the special edition include Alexandre Pacheco da Silva and Marina Feferbaum, Direito SP professors and coordinators of the Center for Education and Research in Innovation (CEPI), and Emerson Ribeiro Fabiani, coordinator of the school’s Lato Sensu Graduate Program (FGVLAW).
