The Center for Excellence in Innovation and Policy (CEIPE) of FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE), managed by Claudia Costin, former Municipal Secretary of Education of Rio de Janeiro, has opened registration for the Rio de Janeiro Network of Educational Leaders until March 21.  There are 15 slots for public managers who fill leadership positions in education, at education departments in Rio de Janeiro, at both the state and municipal levels.

The program aims to develop personal, relationship and management skills, creating a collaborative network for mutual reinforcement and exchange that is capable of transforming and improving public education in the state.

The programs has a duration of 10 months, consisting of a four-day immersion in Sobral to learn about the educational policies that led the city to have the best and most efficient educational system in Brazil; distance mentoring sessions with professionals who have achieved proven results in the area; in addition to workshops and short courses on topics relevant to public education in Rio.
