The April 2019 Industry Survey preview points to a 0.4-point gain in the Industry Confidence Index (ICI) compared to late March 2019.

The increase may be caused by the improvement in entrepreneurs’ perception in relation to the current business situation. The Current Situation Index (ISA) would rise by 1.0 point, reaching 98.1 points, while the Expectations Index (IE) would drop by only 0.2 points, reaching 97.2 points.

The preliminary result for April shows a decrease of 0.3 percentage points in the Industry Installed Capacity Utilization (NUCI), reaching 74.4%.

For the April 2019 preview, 782 companies were surveyed between the 1^st and the 16^th day of this month. The final result of the survey will be announced next Monday, on April 29.
