Rubens Penha Cysne, professor at FGV’s EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (EPGE), has been elected a member of the Brazilian Academy of Education (ABE). The Dean of FGV EPGE will be occupying the Chair No. 3, which formerly belonged to the academic João Paulo do Valle Mendes. The election was announced by the president of the institution, Carlos Alberto Serpa de Oliveira, on June 3.

Rubens Penha Cysne is also a Member of the Technical Council of the National Confederation of Commerce (CNC), the Economic Council of FIRJAN, the Economic Council of the Rio de Janeiro Trade Association, and the Economic Council of the National Agricultural Association (SNA). Internationally, he has published papers in the following economics journals: Review of Economics and Statistics; Journal of Money, Credit and Banking; Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control; Macroeconomic Dynamics, Journal of Banking and Finance; Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Macroeconomics; Economics Letters; and International Journal of Finance and Economics.
