FGV participates in Expo Milano 2015 as highlight of Brazil in sustainability

FGV presented Brazilian initiatives that respond to sustainability challenges, especially regarding food safety and security.  

The Center for Sustainability Studies (GVces) of FGV?s São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV/EAESP) participated, from October 22 - 23, in a sustainability action at Expo Milano 2015, which is in its 67th edition of universal exhibitions ? the event has been held since 1851 in different countries.Invited by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), GVces presented studies and projects that give an overview of Brazilian innovative initiatives that respond to sustainability challenges, especially regarding food safety and security.  ?Our proposal was to present content that demonstrates our wide and integrated view on the sustainability agenda, strongly stating our commitment to Brazil?s sustainable development?, explained Paulo Branco, GVces? vice coordinator, who was part of the Brazilian delegation at the universal exhibition in Italy. ?The Brazilian stand at Expo Milano offers visitors an image of the country we must be proud of. Brazil is a country that innovates, making the transition to a sustainable development a reality?, he completed.At Expo Milano, GVces assisted Apex-Brasil in holding the seminar ?Feeding the World with Innovative and Sustainable Brazilian Solutions?, presenting some innovative Brazilian solutions to global food safety and security challenges, a major theme within a context of climatic changes and sustainable development.?These studies and projects clearly indicate the Brazilian potential within a context of a new economy, aligned with the challenges of climatic changes and committed to a sustainable development project considering everyone?s needs?, concluded Paulo Branco.
