Meeting discusses standards, definitions, architecture and regulatory framework for DLTs

The FGV´s International Intelligence Unit (FGV NPII) participated in the last meeting of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Focus Group on Applications of Distributed Technology. The meeting, held in Geneva, Switzerland, was aimed at discussing issues related to Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT), including standards, definitions, technical architecture and regulatory framework.

This was the seventh and last meeting in a series that culminated in the launch of a group of reports by the focus group. The documents set out key recommendations about DLTs from specialists in various countries, representing universities, governments, companies, NGOs and think tanks.

FGV NPII was represented by internal intelligence analyst Leonardo Paz Neves, who was part of this working group and contributed to the production of two reports (DLT Use Cases and DLT Regulatory Framework). At FGV NPII, he is also working on pioneering projects about the application of new digital technologies in the areas of finance, communications and international security.
