Professionals debate wine market’s present situation and trends

Leading names in the Brazilian wine market will meet on October 31 in Sao Paulo for a seminar titled “Pro-Wine: the Wine Economy and Market.” The event will take place in FGV’s Noble Room (Rua Itapeva, 432, Bela Vista, Sao Paulo), starting at 8:30 am. The participants will debate vocational training, market trends, the Brazilian consumer profile and the effects of the Mercosul-European Union trade agreement.
The seminar is being organized by FGV IDE, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ executive education unit. It will feature some of the foremost names in the Brazilian wine market, as well as international guest Juan Rojas, of the Spanish Embassy, who will discuss Spain’s strategies within the scope of the Mercosul-European Union trade agreement.
The event will also introduce attendees to Pro-Wine, a trade organization that develops strategies to boost wine consumption in Brazil. Participants will also debate subjects such as the importance of vocational training in the sector, Brazil’s per capita consumption, and the political and economic outlook for 2020. Finally, sector specialists will take part in a roundtable to discuss the sector’s present circumstances, trends, barriers and opportunities.
