FGV EPGE professor appointed to CADE’s Administrative Tribunal

Professor Luis Henrique Bertolino Braido, of the FGV´s EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE), has been appointed to serve a four-term term as a member of the Administrative Tribunal of the Brazilian Antitrust Regulatory Agency (CADE). His nomination was approved in September by the Federal Senate and his appointment was announced in the federal government’s official gazette on November 5.

CADE is a federal government agency tasked with upholding free competition. It is the executive branch’s organization responsible for investigating and ruling on antitrust issues, and also promoting and disseminating a free market culture.

Luis Henrique Bertolino Braido has an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Sao Paulo, a master’s in economics from FGV EPGE and the University of Chicago, and a doctorate in economics from the University of Chicago. He is an associate professor at FGV EPGE and his research interests involve economic theory and empirical microeconomics.
