On Thursday, May 7, FGV’s law schools in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro will hold a webinar to debate emergency measures to help companies recover from the novel coronavirus pandemic. The event will be transmitted on FGV’s YouTube channel from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.

Cássio Cavalli, a professor at the FGV´s Sao Paulo Law School, will moderate the debate. The guests will be Alexandre Camara, a partner in BTG Pactual, who is responsible for the financial company’s Special Situations Area, and Marcelo Gomes, the managing director of consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal Brasil.

The initiative is part of a series of webinars called “Law and the Coronavirus Crisis – The Legal System’s Contribution to Fighting the Pandemic and Measures to Overcome Its Economic and Social Effects,” aimed at discussing the role of legal institutions in tackling the impacts of the coronavirus crisis.
