Study on effect of aromas on shopping habits receives Highly Commended Award

Ramona de Luca, who is currently doing a PhD at the Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP), received a Highly Commended Award in the 2020 Emerald/EMFD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards. She won the marketing category for her study called “A cognitive approach to scent marketing: The effect of odor priming and processing dynamics on consumer aesthetic preferences and choices.”
The paper was her doctoral dissertation, which she wrote under the supervision of Professor Delane Botelho. The winners were chosen by the editorial team of the European Journal of Marketing.
The European Journal of Marketing and European Marketing Academy are respectively Europe’s foremost marketing journal and most important academic marketing association.
