The public education networks of Miracema (Rio de Janeiro), Teresina (Piauí) and Goiás are among those that stood out in the last edition of the Basic Education Development Index (2019 IDEB), whose results were disclosed in September of this year. To talk about these education networks’ strong results, the Center for Excellence and Innovation in Education Policies (CEIPE) at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV EBAPE) will hold a webinar called “Advances in IDEB” on October 22. The event will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 2 pm.

The event will provide an opportunity for education secretaries Charles Magalhães (Miracema), Kátia Dantas (Teresina) and Fátima Gavioli (Goiás) to present the public policies they believe have contributed to the strong results of the education networks they oversee. The moderator will be Teca Pontual, CEIPE’s executive manager.
