Online event talks about nonviolent communication

On October 26, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Educational Support Center (NAP) and Internship and Career Development Center (NEDC) will hold a webinar called “Nonviolent Communication: Techniques for Enhancing Interpersonal Relationships.” The event will be broadcast on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 2 pm.
To discuss this subject, NAP and NEDC invited Professor Ana Christina Celano Teixeira, who lectures for FGV’s graduate programs in the area of people management. The moderators will be NAP coordinator Helena Giolito and NEDC coordinator Beralda Lima.
Nonviolent communication is a methodology created by psychologist Marshall Rosemberg in the 1960s in the United States. Since then, it has conquered the world in family, organizational and political conflict mediation. Nonviolent communication, associated with restorative justice models, is now present in more than 65 countries. The goal is to improve the way we listen and speak, and consequently develop interpersonal relationships based on mutual respect, compassion and cooperation.
