Event celebrates work of Professor Werner Baer and discuss Latin America’s direction after COVID-19

On Tuesday, November 10, starting at 2 pm, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP), the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and AQUA Wealth Management will hold the fifth edition of Latin America Pathways, an event that pays tribute to Professor Werner Baer. This year, the subject of the talks will be “Latin America After COVID-19.” It will look at lessons from Europe and the United States, Argentina’s future direction after COVID-19 and Brazil’s post-COVID-19 future and politics.
The event will be introduced by Professor Paulo Tenani of FGV EESP and it will be moderated by Professor Eduardo Goldszal. Firmino Soares, who has a MSc from the University of Illinois, will give the first talk, about Brazil after COVID-19. Diego Petrecola will then discuss Argentina’s post-pandemic future. Professor Antonio Nogueira Leite of the Economics School of NOVA University Lisbon will talk about lessons from Europe, and finally, Dan Biller, who has a PhD from the University of Illinois, will discuss lessons from the United States.
