Retrospective 2020: Journal ranks FGV EAESP as Latin America’s best business school

Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) gained another title in 2020. Its MBA programs were ranked the best in Latin America by América Economia in June 2020.
The ranking, produced for more than 20 years, was reformulated this year, and it now considers return on investment (an item that evaluates the income and career progress of students who completed their MBA three years previously) and satisfaction with the course. For the latter item, EAESP scored a maximum 100 points.
Four other criteria were taken into account: international links, academic strength (the quality of professors’ academic backgrounds and period of complete dedication), knowledge production, and student networking power.
According to FGV EAESP’s dean, Luiz Brito, this result reflects the school’s mission, which is to be the best in Latin America.
“This is the only ranking that looks specifically at Latin America and the result reflects EAESP’s leadership in several areas, such as international links. We were the first school in Brazil to be accredited by the world’s three leading business school accreditation organizations: the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and the Association of MBAs (AMBA). Furthermore, our students recognize we are the best institution and we have an excellent faculty and academic output,” Brito says.
