Amazon Dialogues: Online debate looks at region’s bioeconomy potential

On Monday, February 8, at 7 pm, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) will hold a free webinar about the Amazon’s bioeconomy potential. The event will feature special guests including Roberto Rodrigues, former agriculture minister and coordinator of FGVAgro; and Izabella Teixeira, former environment minister and co-chair of the United Nations International Resource Panel.
The other speakers will be Marcio Holland, the coordinator of FGV EESP’s finance and economics graduate program; Daniel Vargas, FGVAgro’s research director; Professor Augusto Rocha of Amazonas Federal University; and Daniela Chiaretti, Valor Econômico’s special report for the environment.
This will be the first event in the Amazon Dialogues, a series of webinars to discuss topics related to sustainable socioeconomic development in the Brazil Amazon with the whole of organized civil society.
