Meeting at FGV/EESP discusses global macroeconomics

São Paulo School of Economics (FGV/EESP) and the Brazilian Keynesian Association (AKB) will offer, on August 13-15, in São Paulo's state capital, the 7th International Meeting of the Brazilian Keynesian Association.The event - which will have three special sessions, one short course and several debate panels - will discuss issues related to global macroeconomics, such as exchange rates; industry and growth; public finance, currency and credit in the Brazilian economy; financing for development; economic theory; monetary policy and inflation; technological innovation; macroeconomics of the Eurozone; international trade; emerging economies; Mercosur; banking behavior, credit and the real estate market, among other issues.The meeting will take place at rua Itapeva, 432, and will be attended by the director of FGV/EESP, Yoshiaki Nakano; the president of AKB, José Luis Oreiro; the vice-president, Nelson Marconi, and several scholars and experts in the field.The 7th International Meeting of the Brazilian Keynesian Association is sponsored by the Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo (FAPESP), the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea), the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and the Foundation of Economics and Statistics (FEE).More information can be obtained through the e-mail eventos.economia@fgv.br or by telephone on +55 (11) 3799-3378.
