São Paulo Law School debates Global Law themes at Conference in Turkey

Digital democracy, human rights and infrastructure projects, the fight against corruption and challenges of investment protection - within the Business Law framework- will be the main topics discussed.

On July 16, São Paulo Law School (FGV DIREITO SP) will hold, at Koç University, the First Academic Conference of the Law Schools Global League in Istanbul, Turkey. The meeting will bring together researchers and professors of the schools that make up the LSGL.Digital democracy, human rights and infrastructure projects, the fight against corruption and challenges of investment protection - within the Business Law framework- will be the main topics discussed. The choice of topics was a consensus decision of all LSGL's member-schools. This process began in 2013, at the last meeting, held in Lisbon, explained the coordinator of International Relations at São Paulo Law School, Maria Lúcia Pádua Lima.Apart from Maria Lúcia, the event will be attended by professors of the School Paulo Goldschmidt, Lie Uema, Mônica Rosina, Flávia Scabin and Wanderley Fernandes. The debate will be chaired by Edward Ivanov, of the Higher School of Economics Moscow; Corien Prins, of Tilburg Law School; Satvinder Juss, of King's College; and Gianmaria Ajani, of the Università di Torino, respectively.LSGL is a group that brings together 24 innovative Law schools from the US, Asia, Europe and Africa, with the goal of sharing and conducting research on relevant topics in the legal area, reflect on the impacts of globalization and develop new teaching and research methodologies in Law.
