São Paulo Law School debates public-private partnerships at conference

The objective is to draw lessons from the Brazilian market of public-private partnerships (PPP) in 2014, and share views on the expectations and opportunities of this market.

The professor and coordinator of the Professional Master program and Professor of Administrative Law at São Paulo Law School (DIREITO SP) Mario Engler and Carlos Ari Sundfeld will participate, today and tomorrow, in the PPP Summit 2014 - Balanço da experiência estadual e perspectivas municipais? (Analysis of the state experience and municipal perspectives) - an event that aims to draw lessons from the Brazilian market of public-private partnerships (PPP) in 2014, and share views on the expectations and opportunities of this market.Legal Consulting Chief of the Treasury Department of the State of São Paulo, Engler will moderate the panel O contrato de PPP foi assinado, e agora? Os desafios de gestão da primeira família de contratos de PPP? (The PPP contract was signed, now what? Management challenges of the first family of PPP contracts), in which the cases of contracts signed between 2005 and 2010 will be discussed - a period considered the first generation of Brazilian PPPs - such as the projects of the World Cup's stadiums, administrative centers, hospitals and prisons.Carlos Ari Sundfeld, also a partner of Sundfeld Advogados and president of the Brazilian Society of Public Law, will be part of the panel 10 anos da Lei Federal de Parcerias Público-Privadas?(10 Years of the Public-Private Partnerships Federal Law).
