A partnership between the professor of São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV/EAESP), João Brandão, and the website Brasil Mais TI (of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation) can help students choose which career to pursue. The result are the games Escolha de Carreira? (Career Choice), aimed at recently-graduated students, and Escolha do Curso Superior? (Choice of Degree), aimed at students who are at the stage of taking college entrance exams. In the game, the user will go through interviews with a friend, who will ask general questions; then with a professor; who will question him/her about his/her subjects of interest and their contents; later with a recruiter, to get ready for future job interviews or internships; and finally, an interview with the mirror, that is, with himself/herself. At the end, the game presents a profile career of the recently-graduated student or student. If the IT (Information Technology) professional finds out that he/she has a talent in? biology, for example, that does not mean he/she has to move to another area altogether. He/she can be an astronomer, work in public administration, and become an entrepreneur. Our idea is to remove labels. An engineering student cannot only be seen as an engineer. He has skills for other functions as well, said the professor in an interview to UOL Educação.Also according to Brandão, career prospects today are very different from the past. If a few years ago professionals had long careers inside companies, today this scenario predicts a shorter bond period and professionals occupying different positions, he explained. The game is in the final testing phase and it is expected to be available in the first half of this year.
