FGV's Lecture Series debates consumption and social networks in Brasília

FGV Management Brasília held on Tuesday one more meeting of Ciclo de Palestras - a series of events bringing together experts, scholars and market benchmark professionals in the fields covered by Fundação Getulio Vargas. In his speech, FGV's Director of Communication and Marketing, Marcos Facó, discussed The New Consumer on Social Networks. The presentation talked about the specific characteristics of such platforms, the profile of users and how new technologies are changing the way consumers interact not only with other consumers, but also with the brands. Today the consumer is the holder of power. The consumer is the one who chooses what, how and where he/she will consume a particular product or service. The purchase behavior changed and will totally change with the entry of wearables in the market, said Facó.According to him, nothing is definite when it comes to social networking. Everything will still constantly change a great deal. The point is that social networks are always in Beta. Changes will increasingly be faster and require continuous learning by all, he warns.Facó also praised the initiative of FGV Management Brasília. The lecture series allows FGV to have contact with a public which is increasingly eager for knowledge, in an open and free way, democratizing it.At the next meeting, FGV's Professor Luiz Carlos Ewald will speak on How to control your personal finances in order to make your dreams come true. The lectures always take place at 7:30 pm, at FGV Management Brasília's auditorium (L2 Norte, Block 602).At the end of each session, the participants will receive a certificate.Places are limited. Please click here and learn more.
