Rio de Janeiro Law School starts training entrepreneurs in pacified communities

FGV's Rio de Janeiro Law School and Instituto Pereira Passos (IPP) launched, last Saturday, March 15, the training and formalization of entrepreneurs project in favelas at Andaraí. The initiative, a result of a partnership between FGV's Rio de Janeiro Law School, through its Center for Legal Practice (NPJ), IPP and FGV Rio Enactus Team, intends to offer a course to residents of favelas at Andaraí - such as Borda do Mato, Divinéia e Jamelão - focused on personal finances, business analysis, marketing and strategy.Entrepreneurs will receive legal advice of NPJ's Clinics, specifically from the Laboratory of New Business Legal Advice (LAJUNN) and the Laboratory for Legal Assistance to Social Organizations (LAJES), which will be provided by graduate students, supervised by professors Silvia Pinheiro and Rodolfo Noronha. The project has great potential for positive impact on the social reality of the entrepreneurs involved, and gives opportunity to the students of various FGV schools to have an experience that combines theory and practice, says NPJ's coordinator, André Mendes.
