São Paulo Law School students win regional round of academic competition

To reach the finals, played against USP, the team beat teams from Colombia, Canada and Guatemala, and the student Julia Casella was awarded best speaker of the semifinals and finals.

A team of seven students from FGV's São Paulo Law School won first place in the regional round of Elsa Moot Court Competition on WTO Law - academic competition that simulates the procedures adopted in the resolution of disputes in the World Trade Organization (WTO). The achievement will allow students to represent the School in the final round to be held in Geneva in May, along with other regional finalists. To reach the finals, played against USP, the team beat teams from Colombia, Canada and Guatemala, and the student Julia Casella was awarded best speaker of the semifinals and finals.Carol Sayeg (captain), Roberto Bonometti, Rafael Fonseca, Julia Casella, Bruno Pigatto and Natalia Almeida were also part of the team. The coaches were former students Milena Azevedo, Lucas Pires and Nathalie Saito. Professor Rabih Nasser was responsible for the technical training of the team. The team of São Paulo Law School had the support of law firms Demarest Advogados, Barbosa, Müssnich & Aragão Advogados, Nasser Advogados e Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr and Quiroga Advogados.
