Government and civil society organizations come together to create the Foreign Policy White Book, which will be the basis for future actions of Brazil abroad. The round tables will take place in the Foreign Ministry palace until April 2.The growing interest of society on foreign policy themes occurs at a time when Brazil's relevance abroad increases. Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold until April 2 a series of debates titled Diálogos sobre Política Externa? (Dialogues on Foreign Policy). The debates will feature many members of the government and of society to discuss specific issues of the international policy adopted by Brazil. The event, whose debates began on February 26, will be the basis for the Foreign Ministry to create the White Book of the Brazilian Foreign Policy, whose objective will be to record the action lines for the foreign policy. The economist Lia Valls, from the Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE) of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) was invited to attend one of the meetings - she will be the rapporteur of the Trade Policy debate. The creation of the White Book may be, according to experts, the symbol of a major breakthrough for the area. The preparation of the material can help in the process of consolidating public opinion on the subject and the dialogues should lead to collective conversations about the role of diplomacy in Brazil, and the country's role in the world today as well.
