FGV students are finalists in Concurso Inovar Contest

The work of the students, guided by Rio de Janeiro Law School Professor Antônio José Maristrello Porto, is one of three selected from over 1,000 registrations. The team wrote an essay and made a three-minute video on the phenomenon of Tecnobrega, in the state of Pará.

Students of Rio de Janeiro Law School (FGV DIREITO RIO) and the Graduate School of Economics (FGV/EPGE), Pedro Delfino and Claudio Azzi, are finalists of Concurso Inovar ? a national competition among students in Brazilian universities to analyze the impact of innovation and intellectual property rights in the economy.The work of the students, guided by Rio de Janeiro Law School Professor Antônio José Maristrello Porto, is one of three selected from over 1,000 registrations. The team, which also includes two Social Communications students of Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), wrote an essay and made a three-minute video on the phenomenon of Tecnobrega, in the state of Pará. For this, they've based themselves on the scientific production of the School's Center for Technology and Society (CTS).The freedom that FGV students have to present new ideas and projects, always with the support of professors and research centers, is part of the institutional and academic culture of the institution, and this work is evidence of that, explained Professor Antônio Porto.The winning work will be chosen by popular vote through Facebook, by February 17.
