The professor and coordinator of the Professional Master of Public Administration (MAP) of the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV/EBAPE), Alketa Peci, will provide technical advice to the Institutional Capacity Strengthening Program for Regulatory Management (PRO-REG), of the Presidency's Secretariat of Government Policies Analysis and Monitoring. She will give support to the actions of the PRO-REG with a range of agencies and other regulatory bodies in the federal and subnational levels.The project is the result of the consolidation of research results developed within the academic programs of FGV/EBAPE in the regulatory reform and quality areas, explained Alketa. The consultancy will take into account the dissemination of the Regulatory Impact Analysis (AIR) in public administration bodies and entities; the dissemination and stimuli for the implementation of Regulatory Quality Indicators in Brazil; the support for technical cooperation and exchange with national and international bodies and entities on issues related to improving regulatory quality, among others.The objective of PRO-REG is to develop actions that promote the strengthening of institutional mechanisms for regulation management, providing conditions for improving the quality of regulation, consolidation of the decision-making autonomy of the federal regulatory agencies and improvement of surveillance and social control instruments.
