The New York Times places FGV among the best in the world

FGV was placed, for the third consecutive year, among the 100 higher education institutions that train the most competitive professionals in the world. That's what the Emerging Employability University Ranking - published by the global edition of The New York Times indicates. FGV also went up two positions, ranking first place in Brazil and Latin America.

Retrospective 2013  > FGV was placed, for the third consecutive year, among the 100 higher education institutions that train the most competitive professionals in the world. That's what the Emerging Employability University Ranking - published (October 28th) by the global edition of The New York Times indicates. In last year?s edition, FGV went up two positions, ranking first place in Brazil and Latin America, and ahead of the traditional Sciences Po and Pittsburgh University.The French HR consulting company Emerging Associates, in partnership with the German institute Trendence, interviewed more than five thousand recruiters in 20 countries. And this time, the survey also took into consideration what could be considered an ideal higher education. If in 2012 we described the ideal profile of a recently-graduated student, this year we decided to ask recruiters to tells us how a perfect university must be, and set up a table with the institutions that train the most competitive young professionals to hire, explains the Emerging director, Sandrine Belloc. She further emphasized that employability is still the most relevant criterion for the interviewees.The survey also identified a trend toward online courses.  According to the survey, recruiters are paying attention to this new form of higher education and the impact that it will bring to the business models in the sector, and they intend to consider it in the 2014 ranking. FGV offers 249 online courses: 48 free programs, 5 undergraduate courses, 177 short and medium-term courses, in addition to 19 MBAs, graduate and specialization courses (including two international MBAs).The Emerging Employability University Ranking for 2013 evaluated higher education institutions in America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania.Please click here to view the position of FGV published in The New York Times ranking.
