The Latin-American Public Policy Center of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV/CLPP) and the Latin America Development Bank (CAF) will hold a presentation on the 2013 Economy and Development Report - which will feature a lecture by CAF's senior economist, Lucila Berniell, on Ventures in Latin America: from subsistence to efficient transformation. One of the main goals of the lecture is to demonstrate the close connection between two typical phenomena of the Latin American economy: the restriction to the growth of dynamic companies and the abundance of subsistence ventures.
