FGV's Teaching, Research and Graduate Studies Provost and Academic Integration director, Professor Antonio Araújo Freitas, was honored by the National Association of Undergraduate Courses in Administration (ANGRAD) for the two periods in which he was the president of the institution (2005 to 2007 and 2007 to 2009). The award ceremony took place at the last meeting of the national association (ENANGRAD), in the city of Florianópolis.As former president of ANGRAD, Professor Freitas devoted himself voluntarily to the main objective of the association, which is to promote the quality increase in Administration courses in the country. It was under his administration that ANGRAD managed to make its greatest wish come true - the acquisition of its own headquarters. And so it was done in the center of the city of Rio de Janeiro, said the executive superintendent of ANGRAD, Luiz Carlos da Silva, who also recalled that Antonio Freitas is one of the greatest educational personalities of Brazil.ANGRAD emerged 23 years ago, as a result of the 1st National Meeting for the Evaluation of Undergraduate Courses in Administration. During its path, it consolidated itself as the association with the greatest representativeness in the Brazilian academic environment through the commitment to higher education in Administration.Freitas integrates the educational Gallery of PersonalitiesIn September this year, Freitas was granted for the third time the Educational Personality title - an initiative that has been promoted for 15 years by the Brazilian Education Association (ABE), the Brazilian Press Association (ABI) and the newspaper Folha Dirigida, awarding educators for their career paths and contribution to the country. With this, he also becomes part of the Gallery of Personalities of the tribute.I am very honored. (...) Professors are never honored. I receive this prize as a symbolism for all professors, from important institutions such as ABE, ABI and Folha Dirigida, who make an effort to show the importance of professors, and their value in society.
