The 2012 class of the International Master?s Program in Practicing Management (IMPM) held, between September 30 and October 11, the last module of the program in the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV/EBAPE). Twenty-six students from countries such as Canada, India, South Korea, Kenya, Switzerland, Germany and India, besides Brazil were in Rio de Janeiro. The module included visits to large companies in the country and lectures with executives, such as the vice-president of Lufthansa Technik, Bernd Frechmann; the vice-president of the National Bank of Economic and Social Development (BNDES), João Ferraz; and the executive director of the NGO Galpão Aplauso, Ivonette Albuquerque.According to the coordinator of the course, Professor Alexandre Faria, in an interview to Portal IG, The IMPM breaks management paradigms because it does not believe that there can be a single management structure. The management secret lies in observing and respecting the local culture, he said, referring to, for example, the inclusion of the visit to Galpão Aplauso in the module's academic program. For more information about the program, please click on the link.
