The master's students of FGV's São Paulo Law School (DIREITO GV) went through a different experience: they were in the classrooms as professors. The initiative is part of the Faculty Training Program of the School's Academic Master's and benefited, this month, more than 50 undergraduate students of Universidade São Judas Tadeu, at the Mooca and Butantã units. The purpose of the program is exactly to place the students in the professors' shoes, encouraging them to prepare the material and an activity that will be important in the future. It is an excellent opportunity for our master's students to practice teaching, says the teaching methodology assistant coordinator of São Paulo Law School, Marina Feferbaum. For Sarah Morganna Mattos Marinho, teaching became a career possibility.  I was responsible for the final summary of the lesson and the contribution of the students of São Judas was important to draw conclusions on the document. This experience made me realize how teaching can be an enriching activity, especially if the students have the opportunity to be the protagonists, she observed.Ivan Franco was also very excited with the response from the students on the theme of racial quotas in universities. In the midst of a controversial debate, the discussions were energetic, but very respectful. This not only allowed the development of good arguments, but also allowed a theoretical generalization within the milestones of Law and Development, he analyzed.Rafael Gandur, on the other hand, emphasized the commitment coming from the professor. First and foremost, we were able to experience teaching and feel the challenge and responsibility of creating a course and give lectures. Many, like me, played the professor role for the first time and learning about 'how to be on the other side' was intense, he told us.This is the second teaching session that São Paulo Law School held in partnership with Universidade São Judas.  The next meeting is scheduled to happen next year and the idea is to expand the program to other institutions.
