The number of Brazilians who wish to travel around Brazil is three times greater than those who want to go abroad. That's what the last survey of the Ministry of Tourism indicates - conducted in partnership with FGV Projetos with the data collected in seven state capitals of the country. The Survey Consumer - Trip Purpose of the month of August shows that, among 2,000 people heard in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo, 72.2% plan to travel around Brazil. The index was 69.9% a year ago. 24.7% of others want to leave the country in the next six months. The Northeast is the preferred destination for more than half of those interviewed (53.7 %), leading the trip purpose throughout Brazil. In addition, the means of alternative lodging gained more supporters: the search for homes of friends and relatives increased from 35.1% to 37.8% in the last year, being more expressive among travelers who earn up to BRL 2,100 (64.9 %) and those with an income between BRL 2,101 to BRL 4,800 (49.1%).The survey also reveals that the purpose of visiting tourist destinations in Brazil is higher among low income respondents, reaching 94.5% among those who earn up to BRL 2,100. Among those with income above BRL 9,600, on the other hand, the rate decreases to 42.7%.
