CPDOC analyzes nuclear policies in Brazil and the world

On August 29 and 30, FGV's Center of International Relations from the School of Social Sciences (CPDOC), held in partnership with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (CEIL), the workshop Nuclear Choices: Global Perspectives.
The objective of the event - that brought together students, academics, scientists and professionals in the area - was to discuss the global nuclear agenda for the coming decades. The sessions included discussions on nuclear policies of various countries, the positioning of Iran in the global nuclear order, the challenges of Brazil with regard to nuclear energy, the future of the nuclear issue and its companies in the global scenario, among other topics.
The debate was organized and mediated by CPDOC's professor, Matias Spektor. The event was also attended by ambassadors Carlos Duarte, Sergio Duarte and Rafael Grossi, the member of the Brazil Free of Nuclear Power Plants Coalition, Chico Whitaker, as well as members of the Presidency Strategic Affairs Secretariat (SEA) and researchers from CEIL, Oxford University and PUC-SP.
