The doctor in Political Science and professor at FGV's Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE), Sonia Fleury, is one of the authors of the book The 'New Middle Class' in Brazil as a concept and a political project, by Heinrich Böll Brasil Foundation - a non-profit organization German political organization whose objective is to support and promote democratization processes. The work brings together articles by social scientists from major universities, besides representatives of Brazilian civil society. Sonia wrote the chapter The Manufacture of Middle Class: a political project for new sociability, in which she talks about changes in the social structure of the country in the last decade. The book will be released on August 27, at 10 am, at Polis Institute, in São Paulo. During the event, EBAPE's professor will participate in a discussion with the co-authors of the publication Christiane Uchôa, Waldir Quadros and Elísio Estanque. To learn more about the launch, please click here.
