The preview of the Industry Confidence Index (ICI) for August - calculated by FGV's Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE) - decreased 0.7% compared to the final result of July, considering data free of seasonal influence.  According to IBRE, the decrease of confidence was influenced both by the perceptions about the present and the expectations for the following months.  For the preview on the Industry Survey, 807 companies were consulted between August 1^st and 16^th.
