The Corporate International Master's (CIM) - offered at FGV's Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE) in partnership with ESADE Business School and McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University - began its first module on August 11, in Washington DC, United States, with 27 students of different nationalities. EBAPE's director, Flávio Vasconcelos, and the vice-director, Alvaro Cyrino, attended the launch. The program, taught in English and coordinated by professors Marco Tulio Zanin, from EBAPE, Pedro Parada, from ESADE Business School, and José Luis Guerrero, from Georgetown University, is the result of an alliance among the international institutions well positioned in rankings that assess the best programs at business schools across the world, such as the Financial Times and the BloombergBusinessWeek.  It is a premium program, the only one in the Brazilian market focused on global leadership, aimed at experienced executives from companies around the world with an interest in doing business in Latin America. These professionals are faced with the increasing complexity of current business problems and must be prepared to address them. Therefore, they need new ways of thinking about management, explains Alvaro Cyrino.  The controller of the Coca-Cola Company Brazil, Vanessa Casali, is one of the Brazilians selected to participate in the program. She sees in the CIM the possibility of expanding her network and learning new business strategies.  I chose CIM thanks to the excellent opportunity to carry out an intensive 14-month long international master in four countries on different continents. I believe that I am going to expand my network of contacts, exchange experiences not only in technical terms, but also professional expertise, with my classmates, says Vanessa.   The Corporate International Master's degree includes three modules offered for 11 days each, which will be held in Washington DC, Rio de Janeiro and Madrid. They are interspersed with distance learning modules, in addition to one in the city of Shanghai. The participants who complete the program will hold three master's diplomas offered by the partner institutions. The next module will be in Rio, from October 28 to November 07, 2013.
