FGV professor participates in United Nations study

Oliver Stuenkel, professor of International Relations and Coordinator of FGV's Social Sciences School, CPDOC, in São Paulo contributed to research related to the South-South Cooperation for the United Nations' High-Level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda. Oliver wrote the paper Institutionalizing South-South Cooperation: Towards a New Paradigm?. The panel released the report A New Global Partnership: eradicating poverty and transforming economies through sustainable development, which sets the universal agenda for the eradication of extreme poverty in 2030, fulfilling the promise of sustainable development. The report suggests the implementation of a new global partnership that offers hope and a role for every person in the world. The panel was established by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, and was co-chaired by Indonesian President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono; the President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf; and UK's Prime Minister, David Cameron. Click here to read the paper.
