FGV’s São Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP) and Columbia University (U.S.) will host the ‘Succession: Transition in the family business from multiple perspectives’ panel from February 9 - 11. Throughout the three-day event, professors from both universities will address topics related to succession and transition in family businesses, from several perspectives.

The event will be attended by professors Marcelo Binder and Vicky Bloch, from EAESP, and Patrícia Angus, from Columbia. In addition to cases discussed by the professors in their modules, the event will feature professional and family executives, such as David Feffer (president and shareholder of Suzano Holding), Ricardo Santos (member of Coteminas’ Board of Directors), Marcelo Silva (former CEO and member of Magazine Luiza’s Board of Directors), and Luiza Trajano (chairwoman of Magazine Luiza’s Board of Directors). They will give testimonials and discuss their experiences with the participants.

The program has a total workload of 20 hours and will allow participants to discuss the challenges, experiences, best practices, and trends in the succession process from the points of view of both managers and families.
