International director of FGV, professor Bianor Cavalcanti, presided at the Board Management meeting of International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA), and also attended a Board of Directors meeting of International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), in Brussels, Belgium. The professor will preside over IASIA from 2017 to 2019.

The meetings covered strategic decisions of IASIA and IIAS regarding publications, specialized study groups, the schedule of upcoming international events, regional and inter-regional expansion and cooperation efforts, finances and operations of the International Commission on Accreditation of Public Administration Education and Training Programs (ICAPA).

The next Annual Conference of the Latin American Group for Public Administration (GLAP/IIAS) was announced, scheduled for September in Lima, Peru. More details were also shared about the IASIA 2017 Conference to be held from July 4 - 7 in Ramallah, Palestine, and the IIAS Congress to be held between May 30 and June 2 in Aix-en-Provence, France.
