Lecture: "Sérgio Buarque de Holanda: self-writing, archive and memory (1969-1986)"

About
FGV's School of Social Sciences (CPDOC) invites you to a lecture with the researcher Raphael Guilherme de Carvalho (Doctor in History / UFPR) who will present the results of his doctoral thesis, defended recently.
The theme explores the trajectory of Sérgio Buarque de Holanda, focusing on the historian's speeches about himself and his work. In particular, the lecture addresses the memory that was built around the author of "Roots of Brazil", mainly between the 1970s and 1980s. This is an event promoted by the Laboratory for Social Thought (LAPES) of CPDOC.
Admission is free and no registration is required (subject to auditorium seating).
